It happens rarely, that a territory can offer such a wide and tempting variety of food and wine. And Acqualagna boasts the title of "capital of the truffle" throughout the year.

On the border to Romagna, in Talamello, you will find the famous “Formaggio di Fossa”, literary "pit cheese" , since it is produced in the pits left by the Malatesta family. Another cheese has conquered the palates of nobles : The “ Caciotta of Urbino”, a real passion for Michelangelo.
The extra virgin olive oil is of excellent quality and is produced in the oil mills of Cartoceto, Piagge and Corinaldo.
The fish is actually the real protagonist of a simple, tasty and surprisingly various cuisine which combines perfectly all the products of this fantastic land.
Among the wines: Sangiovese and Bianchello, the latter indicated by tradition as the cause of the defeat of Hasdrubal against the Romans in the famous battle of Metauro. Vernaccia di Pergola and Pinot Noir (initially introduced by the army of Napoleon)and now replanted in the coastal area of the San Bartolo Park. The famous Verdicchio of Jesi castles, the white and red Esimo, the superb Lacrima di Morro and the noble Rosso Conero complete our extensive range of wines and flavors.
